Kids’ Club
“I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”
~ Psalm 119:11
Kids’ Club is about teaching God’s Word; memorizing it and hiding that Word in children’s hearts. It is not about teaching just a story, but showing what wonderful things God has done throughout Scripture and bringing it alive to the kids. It’s not just about believing there is a God, but having a personal relationship with the God of the Universe and knowing He is as faithful as Scripture reveals.
Children who are currently in kindergarten through 6th grade are welcome to be a part of Kids’ Club, as well as preschoolers (though they must be accompanied by a parent or grandparents).
What do we do at Kids Club?
Kids’ Club typically starts out with an active game to help the kids have a time of refreshment and play after being at school. Snacks are then provided, and are usually a hint as to what the Bible lesson of the day is. Crafts, music, and other activities are also centered around the Bible lesson to help instill it into the hearts and minds of the children so they can carry it with them wherever they go. Storing God’s Truths within the kids through Bible verse memory is also practiced and reviewed, using helpful actions, games, puzzles, and other methods to help these Truths take root.
When do we gather?
Kids’ Club occurs Wednesday afternoons from 3:15-5 p.m. at our United Free Lutheran Church. Kids can ride the bus from school or may be dropped off by a parent. We have a six-week session in the fall (usually Oct-Nov) and about three months or so in the winter/spring (Jan-Easter).
How can you sign up, or who can answer questions?
You can call the church office (218-782-2249) and speak with Pastor David Niemela, or call/text Lynn Strand (701-640-1941).
